Some more Paris - but never enough!

Back in Paris for the third time this trip, we had some more time to look around. George's friend Angus was also in Paris, and we spent some time with him and his friend, Anne-Sophie. Angus was house-sitting his friends house, and it was really cool to get to see a Parisian apartment. I think Ross and I both realised how lucky we were to have our apartment in Canberra (about twice the size of the one in Paris), despite us thinking it was small when we lived there. This apartment was one bedroom, with a combined lounge, kitchen, dining (although the room wasn't delineated, so it was only the furniture that made it obvious) and a tiny bathroom. It made me wonder what London is going to be like!

I'm still trying to keep up with the books the girls are reading for book club at home, but the current one isn't available on my kindle. There is a very famous (in Paris) English bookshop near the Jardin des Tuileries, so I headed there. It was very odd to be in Paris, at an English bookshop, to buy a novel written by a French author, that has been translated into English, and is in the French literature section.

A little worn out after our day of shopping and wandering (Galeries LaFayette is INTENSE), we went into the Jardin des Tuileries and sat in the reclining chairs near the fountain. A really nice way to pass an hour or two if you have the time...
