The land that recession forgot

If there is anywhere in the world where people don't seem to mind the current state of the dollar/the pound/the euro, it's the French Riviera. Lordy, I've never seen so many yachts and crusty old men looking like tandoori chicken. Crazy town.

We stayed on the other side of the bay to Saint Tropez, and on our first night we got the ferry across to have dinner. With such a fantastic view from the water, it's amazing we didn't trade the van in and buy a luxury yacht.  

We could probably afford the blue and white one in the pic above... 


Saint Tropez is a beautiful place with such an odd mix of people, it was really fun to just wander around and take it all in. Had the best fish curry EVER! You know it's good when months later you think about that meal and spend two hours scouring the internet for a recipe that might be similar – didn't find one :(
